Anxious Field Trip Morning.
불안했던 체험 학습 날 아침.

<말하기 연습>
I am a mom raising my six-year-old daughter, and I'm currently on leave from work. I am not a fan of field trips that have even the slightest risk of accidents. So when my daughter was younger, I looked after her at home if there was a hands-on excursion planned. But as she has gotten older, it has become harder to be the only parent not sending their child. I felt like I had no choice but to sign her up for a field trip about an hour away by car.
저는 여섯 살 딸아이를 양육하고 있는 휴직 중인 엄마입니다. 저는 안전 사고의 발생 위험이 조금이라도 있는 체험 학습을 좋아하지 않습니다. 그렇기에 딸이 어렸을 때, 예정된 체험 학습을 간다고 하면 가정 보육을 했습니다. 그런데 아이가커 가니 저희 아이만 보내지 않기가 어렵더군요. 그래서 차로 한 시간 정도 거리의체험 학습을 신청할 수밖에 없었습니다.

On the day of the trip, I woke up at 5 a.m. to pack her lunch and wake her up. She was very happy when she saw the lunchbox I had made. But as we were heading out the door, I suddenly realized that I hadn't told her any of the important safety rules.
체험 학습 당일, 새벽 5시에 일어나 도시락을 싸고 아이를 깨웠습니다. 아이는 제가 준비한 도시락을 보고 무척 좋아했습니다. 그런데 막상 집을 나서니, 문득 정작 중요한 안전 수칙을 하나도 안일러 준 게 생각나더군요.

I grabbed her right before she got on the bus and nagged her ears off. Make sure to wear your seatbelt. Don't let go of your teacher's hand, And so on and so forth, She was so excited that she didn't listen very closely. Meanwhile, I was so anxious that morning that I broke into a cold sweat.
버스를 타기 직전에 아이를 붙잡고 잔소리를 쏟아 냈습니다. 안전벨트 꼭 매라, 선생님 손 놓지 마라 등등.. 아이는 신나서 듣는 둥마는 등 하는데, 저 혼자 마음을 졸이며 식은땀을 흘렸던 아침이었습니다.

A: 아무 문제 없을 거예요. 요즘 학교들이 워낙 안전의 중요성을 강조하잖아요.
B: 알죠. 하지만 부모로서 걱정을 안 할 수가 없네요.
