<말하기 연습>
"Jerry" is my eldest daughter's dog, a 5-year-old male Bichon. My daughter lives on the East Coast of the United states. When she came to Korea to stay for three months, she brought Jerry with her. The reason was so Jerry could undergo surgery for a problem with his kneecap. Fortunately, we found a good hospital, and the surgery was completed without a hitch.
"제리"는 우리 큰딸의 강아지 인데, 올해 5살인 수컷 비숑이다. 미국 동부에 살고 있는 큰딸이 한국에 와서 세 달간 지내게 되었는데, 그때 제리를 함께 데려왔다. 이유는 제리가 다리 슬개골 수술을 받기 위해서였다. 다행히 좋은 병원을 찾아서 무사히 수술을 받았다.

Jerry is very curious and doesn't care what others think. He is friendly toward people and eats eveything. He loooks like a little angel when he sound asleep. His round, black eyes are adorable just to look at.
제리는 호기심이 아주 많고, 주위 시선에 아랑곳하지 않는 스타일이다. 또한 사람들에게 친근하고, 뭐든 잘 먹는다. 곤히 자는 모습은 마치 아기 천사 같다. 동그랗고 까만 눈빛은 보기만 해도 사랑스럽다.

On the day he left to return to the U.S., I felt a lump in my throat. I had already grown so attached to him. I don't know I'll get to see him again, but I hope he stays happy and healthy. Jerry, I miss you so much!
제리가 미국으로 다시 떠나는 날, 그새 정이 많이 들었는지 마음이 울컥했다. 언제 다시 보게 될지는 모르지만, 제리가 건강하게 잘 지냈으면 한다. 제리야, 너무 보고 싶구나!
