Urban Air Mobility. 도심형 항공 모빌리티(UAM)

<말하기 연습>

Urban Air Mobility (UAM) refers to a mode of transportation that can fly between skyscrapers in urban areas. People can board these vehicles at transfer hubs located on city buildings. A key advantage is that they can bypass traffic congestion due to the ability to fly.
도심형 항공 모빌리티(UAM, Urban Air Mobility)란 도심 지역에서 빌딩 숲 사이를 비행하는 교통수단이다. 사람들은 도시 건물에 있는 환승 거점 허브(hub)에서 이 교통수단에 탑승할 수 있다. 비행을 하기 때문에 교통 체증을 피해 갈 수 있다는 것이 큰 장점이다.

Basically, UAM uses multiple independent rotors powered by electric energy generated from batteries to achieve flight. Even if one rotor encounters an issue, the others can continue fuctioning to ensure a safe flight.
기본적으로 UAM은 배터리가 생성하는 전기 에너지로 여러 개의 로터를 독립적으로 구동시켜서 비행을 한다. 개별 로터에 문제가 생겨도, 다른 로터가 지속적으로 구동되기 때문에 안전하게 비행할 수 있다.

What's more, it's a mode of transportation capable of vertical takeoff and landing, marking it an environmentally friendly mobility solution. The typical passenger capacity is around 5 people, including the pilot. It can cover up to 100 km on a single charge, and the estimated top speed is around 290 kmh.
또한, 수직 이착륙이 가능한 교통수단으로 친환경 이동 수단이라고 할 수 있다. 탑승 정원은 보통 조종사를 포함해 5명 정도이다. 1회 충전시 최대 100km까지 비행이 가능하며, 최대 속도는 290km/h정도로 예상된다.
