<말하기 연습>
I am a teacher. While conducting my classes, I actively encourage students to use highlighters. As a result, students sometimes call me the "Highlighter Fairy."
저는 교사입니다. 수업을 진행하면서 저는 학생들에게 형광펜 사용을 적극적으로 권장합니다. 그래서 학생들은 저를 "형광펜 요정"이라고 부르기도 합니다.

When students underline or mark their textbooks, it often becomes unclear later what those markings mean. That's why I tell them to use highlighters to mark important points and emphasize content in class using colors like "yellow, orange, pink."
학생들이 교과서에 밑줄을 치거나 별표를 하면, 나중에 그 표시가 무슨 의미인지 명확하지 않은 경우가 많습니다. 그래서 저는 형광펜으로 중요 포인트를 표시하라고 하고, "노란색, 주황색, 핑크색" 같은 색깔 이름으로 수업 내용을 강조해 줍니다.

Of course, I always explain the significance of each color at the beginning of the semester. Yellow is for important vocabulary and expressions, orange is for essential grammar, and pink is for central themes the author is conveying or key phrases likely to appear on exams.
물론 학기 초에 각 색깔들이 상징하는 바를 항상 알려 줍니다. 노란색은 주요 어휘와 표현들, 주황색은 꼭 알아야 할 문법들, 핑크색은 저자가 말하고자 하는 중심 내용이나 시험에 나올 가능성이 높은 핵심 구문들입니다.

It's charming to see kids holding three different colored highlighters between their fingers as they jot down notes.
손가락 사이사이에 세가지 형광펜을 끼워 놓고 필기를 하는 아이들을 보면 참 예쁘답니다.
