B: Absolutely! I've already bought some chocolates and whiskey for my folks. Where do we pick them up?
A: (checks the receipt) It says we need to go to the collection counter near Gate 12. (They make their way to the collection counter.)
B: (looking at the line) Wow, it's quite busy.
A: (laughs) It's always like this. Good thing we have time before our flight.

A: 면세품 쇼핑은 여행 후 돌아가기 전에 늘 꼭 해야 하는 거지.
B: 물론이지! 난 가족들 주려고 초콜릿하고 위스키를 이미 구매했거든. 어디에서 찾으면 되는 거지?
A: (영수증을 확인하며) 이거 보니까 12번 게이트 근처에 있는 수거 카운트로 가야 된다고 하네. (면세품 수거 카운터로 간다.)
B: (길게 술 선 것을 보며) 와, 정말 바쁘네.
A: (웃으며) 여긴 늘 이래. 탑승 전에 시간이 있길 망정이지.

How "입트영" improved my leave of absence. 휴직을 뿌듯하게 만들어 준 "입트영".

<말하기 연습>
I did many different things during my leave of absence last year. But the most rewarding thing was that I started to tune in to the original brodcast of "입트영" early each morning. In the past, I just listened to the show while getting ready for work. But during my leave, I subscribed to the study materials, and I get out of bed early to listen. Of course, I also recite the passages out loud.
작년에 휴직을 하며 여러가지 일들을 했다. 하지만, 그 중 가장 뿌듯한 것은 매일 새벽에 "입트영" 본방사수를 시작한 일이었다. 이전에는 출근 준비를 하며 방송을 듣기만 했다. 그런데 휴직을 하며 교재를 정기 구독하고, 하침에 일찍 일어나 듣기 시작한다. 물론 본문 낭독도 같이 하고 있다.

I've always enjoyed sleeping in, so I didn't get up until around 9 AM on my days off. So, when I changed my lifestyle to wake up at the crack of dawn, it surprised my husband. He says he never kenw I could be such a hard worker, and he gives me a thumbs-up whenever he sees me at my desk in the morning.
나는 원래 아침잠이 많은 스타일이어서 출근하는 날이 아니면 9시쯤까지 자곤 했었다. 그렇기 때문에 새벽에 기상하는 나의 라이프스타일 변화에 남편도 깜짝 놀랐다. 이렇게 성실한 사람인 줄 몰랐다며, 아침에 책상에 앉아 있는 나를 볼 때마다 엄지척을 해 준다.

Starting each day with this sense of accomplishment allowed me to make the most of my day. I've surprised even myself with my transformation through "입트영."
매일 아침을 뿌듯함으로 시작하니 하루하루를 더욱 알차게 보낼 수 있었다. "입트영"이 만들어 낸 나의 변화가 나도 신기할 따름이다.

A: 주로 언제 영어 공부를 하세요?
B: 저는 아침에 일찍 일어나서 공부해요.
A: 아, 정말요? 몇 시에 일어나시는데요?
B: 5시 30분쯤 일어나서 라디오 방송 들을 준비를 해요.
A: 와! 정말 멋지네요.
B: 단톡방에서 많은 분들과 같이 공부해요. 서로 동기 부여를 하며 공부하고 있어요.
