Being a Job Interviewer. 취업 면접관이 된 경험.

<말하기 연습>
I joined our company in 2004, and I became the leader of the purchasing department this year. One of the most memorable experiences upon becoming a leader was acting as a job interviewer. Our dapartment had vacant positons, so we needed to fill them through ad hoc recruiting.
저는 우리 회사에 2004년에 입사했고, 올해 구매팀의 팀장이 되었습니다. 팀장이 되면서 가장 기억에 남는 일 중 하나는 취업 면접관이 된 것입니다. 우리 팀은 일부 인원이 공석이어서 수시채용을 통해 충원을 해야 했습니다.

Around 200 people applied for a job, and the HR department selected 8 candidates through document screening. We had to select two candidates from the final interviews, and that's when I became an interviewer. It brought back memories of my own job interview 19 years ago, and I felt a lot of pressure as I realized I would be deciding on an important moment in their lives. Seeing their earnest and nervous faces made me empathize deeply with them.
200여 명이 지원을 하였고 인사팀에서 서류 심사를 통해 그 중 8명의 후보를 선발하였습니다. 최종 면접을 통해 2명을 선발해야 했는데, 이때 제가 실무 면접관이 된 것입니다. 19년 전에 면접을 보던 저의 기억이 떠올랐고, 그들 인생에 중요한 순간을 제가 결정하게 된다는 생각에 저 또한 매우 긴장이 되었습니다. 그들의 절실하고 긴장한 얼굴을 보니 너무 안쓰러웠습니다.

I hope that all the applicants who went through the interview process will remember it without any regrets, and that the final accepted candidates will quickly take to working at our company.
면접을 본 모든 지원자들이 후회없이 경험으로 기억하길 바라며, 최종 선발된 분들이 우리 회사에서 근무하는 것에 빨리 적응하기를 기대합니다.
