Observing Summer Swallows. 여름철 제비 관찰.

<말하기 연습>
When early June rolls around, you can start to observe baby swallows. The baby swallows are so adorable, as they eagerly await the return of their mother with their mouths wide open. The mother swallwos will keep circling in the sky and won't come down if there are people nearby, so you need to observe them very quietly.
6월 초가 되면 아기 제비들을 관찰할 수 있습니다. 입을 쩍쩍 벌리며 어미 새가 돌아오기만을 간절히 기다리는 아기 제비들은 참 귀엽습니다. 사람이 근처에 있으면 어미 새가 내려오지 않고 하늘에서 계속 맴돌기 때문에 아주 조용히 관찰을 해야 합니다.

I observed the birds with bated breath, not wanting to miss the moment when the mother descended in a flash, fed the babies, and took off again. It is said that a mother swallow brings food to her babies about 300 times a day.
어미 새가 쏜살같이 내려와서 아기 새들에게 먹이를 넣어 주고는 다시 떠나는 모습을 놓치지 않으려고 숨죽이며 관찰했습니다. 어미새는 아기 새들을 위해 하루에 약 300번 먹이를 물어다 준다고 합니다.

Swallows build their nests under the roofs of houses or in suitable places on buildings where people live. They have a strong homing instinct and will usually make thier way back to the village where they nested the previous year.
제비는 사람이 살고 있는 집의 지붕 밑이나 건물의 적당한 곳에 둥지를 짓습니다. 귀소성이 강해서 지난해 서식했던 마을로 보통 되돌아옵니다.
