There are frequent reports about cyber-attacks in the news these days. Various companies around the world are developing cyber security technologies to respond to cyber-attacks.
요즘 뉴스에서 사이버 공격에 대한 소식을 자주 접하게 됩니다. 세계 각국의 다양한 기업들은 사이버 공격에 대응하기 위해 사이버 보안 기술을 개발하고 있습니다.

Cyber security refers to the technology used to protect online networks from unauthorized access, attacks, data theft, and unauthorized manipulation. My line of work is in the automotive industry, where we are working hard to develop vehicle cyber security technologies. Vehicles are equipped with various electronic control units.
사이버 보안이란 인터넷으로 연결된 네트워크를 허가되지 않은 접근, 공격, 데이터 도난, 무단 조작으로부터 보호하기 위한 기술입니다. 제가 몸답고 있는 자동차 업계에서도 차량 사이버 보안 기술 개발에 매진하고 있습니다. 차량에는 다양한 전자 제어기들이 탑재되어 있습니다.

If hackers tamper with the vehicle control units, they can force engine shutdowns or cause unintended vehicle operation. I hope that cyber security technology will continue to develop in the future, so that safer products can be delivered to customers.
해커들이 차량 제어기를 변조하면 강제로 시동을 꺼뜨리거나 의도치 않게 차량이 움직이는 일이 발생할 수 있습니다. 앞으로 사이버 보안 기술이 더욱 발전하여, 더 안전한 제품이 고객에게 전달되기를 바라는 마음입니다.
