농촌에서의 유학 생활.

Last winter, I happend to come across an agricultural study program. It's a program that lets city kids schools in rural areas for 6 to 12 months, experiencing the country life. My son was in 2nd grade at the time, and I asked him how he felt about studying in a rural area.
작년 겨울, 저는 우연히 농촌 유학 프로그램을 알게 되었습니다. 도시 아이들이 시골 학교에 6개월에서 1년 동안 체류하며 농어촌 생활을 체험하는 프로그램입니다. 당시 초등학교 2학년이었던 우리 아들에게 농촌 유학을 가 보는 것이 어떻겠냐고 물었습니다.

He watched the promo video and immediately sadi that said that he was very interested in going. So, my son transferred to a school in Jellanam-do Provice. The house my son and I are staying is a five-munute drive from the school.
아들은 홍보 영상을 보더니 단번에 가고 싶다며 큰 관심을 보였습니다. 그렇게 아들은 전라남도에 있는 한 초등학교로 전학을 갔습니다. 아들과 제가 지내고 있는 집은 학교에서 차로 5분 거리에 있습니다.

When my son steps outside, he communicates with the local elders and neighborhood friends. He's learning how to share even the little things. We will have to return to Seoul next January. But I'm certain that the lessons learned from rural life here will become a valuable asset in his life.
저희 아들은 문밖을 나가면 이웃 어른들, 동네 친구들과 교류하며, 작은 것이라도 서로 나누는 법을 배우고 있습니다. 우리는 내년 1월이면 다시 서울로 돌아가야 합니다. 하지만 이곳에서 농촌 생활로 얻은 교훈은 아들의 인생에 귀중한 자산이 될 것이라고 믿습니다.
