병원에서 주사를 맞은 경험.
Recently, I had severe pain in my neck and shoulder area. It was so bad that I couldn't even turn my head. I considered visiting an oriental medicine clinic. But I didn't want to get acupunture, so I eventually decided to see an orthopedist instead.
최근에 목과 어깨 부위에 심한 통증이 있었다. 너무 심해서 고개도 못 돌릴 정도였다. 한의원에 갈까 생각했으나, 침을 맞고 싶지 않았기 때문에 결국 정형외과 진효를 받기로 했다.
It was okay while they took X-rays and I received my diagnosis. But then, they broke the news that I would have to get a shot in my neck and shoulder. It was like a bolt out of the blue. The thought of tetting a shot in my neck was so terrible that I didn't even want to think about it.
엑스레이를 찍고 진단 결과를 듣는 것까지는 괜찮았다. 그런데 갑자기 목과 어깨에 주사를 맞아야 한다는 것이었다. 청천벽력과 같은 말이었다. 목에 주사를 맞아야 한다고 생각하니 너무 끔찍해서 상상조차 하기 싫었다.
I was a bundle of nerves as I waited outside the injection room. Finally, it was my turn. My whole body tensed up when the needle went in. I felt pain and a dull weight as the medicine entered my bloodstream. Already, I am an edge about getting another shot next week.
주사실 밖에서 대기하고 있는데 무척이나 긴장이 되었다. 드디어 내 차례가 되었다. 주사 바늘이 꽂히는 순간 온몸에 힘이 절로 들어갔다. 약물이 혈류 속으로 들어갈 때 목에서 아픔과 묵직함이 느껴졌다. 다음 주에 다시 주사를 맞아야 하는데 벌써부터 걱정이다.
