실업 급여.
After working for a company until July of last year, I decided to pack it in and now I am between jobs. When someone in Korea leaves their job because of issues with the company, such as corporate restructuring or financial difficulties, they can receive unemployment pay for a certain amount of time.
저는 작년 7월까지 한 회사에 근무하다가, 회사를 그만 두기로 결심했고 현재는 이직 준비를 하고 있는 중입니다. 우리나라에서는 구조 조정이나 경영 악화 등의 회사 사정에 의해서 직장을 그만두게 되면, 일정 기간에 걸쳐 실업 급여를 지급받을 수 있습니다.
Of cause, you must have paid for employment insurance for at least six months to be eligible to apply for unemployment pay. To receive unemployment pay, you must undergo training, go job hunting, and present the necessary documents to the local employment welfare center.
물론, 고용 보험 납입 기간이 최소한 6개월 이상은 되어야 실업 급여를 신청할 자격이 주어집니다. 실업 급여를 받기 위해서는 교육을 받고, 구직 활동을 하고, 필요한 서류를 관할 고용 복지 센터에 제출해야 합니다.
Those over 65 years old can't apply for unemployment pay. At 61 years old, I am at the cusp. I hope that they will extend the age limit for this system.
나이가 65세 이상인 사람들은 실업 급여를 신청할 수 없습니다. 나이가 현재 61세인 저도 그 경계에 다가와서, 이 제도의 나이 제한이 연장되기를 바라고 있습니다.
