Fostering abandoned dogs.

Some people who have pet dogs don't see it through and abandoned them. More and more dogs are losing their owners this way.

Meanwhile, a growing number of people are looking after these abandoned dogs. Temporary foster care refers to caring for and helping abandoned pups until they find a caring home. The period can range from as short as a month to as long as several years, but people take it upon themselves as a form of community service.

As a dog owner myself, I highly admire the people who do this. I'd like to foster abandoned dogs myself whenever I have the time, but my parents are against it. I hope one day will see it my way and let me do it.

반려견을 키우다가 끝까지 책임지지 않고 유기하는 사람들이 있다. 이렇게 주인을 잃는 반려견들이 점점 늘어나고 있다.

한편, 이러한 유기견들을 돌보는 사람들도 더 많아지고 있다. 임시 보호는 버려진 강아지들이 좋은 가정을 찾을 때까지 잘 보살피고 도움을 주는 것을 말한다. 짧게는 한 달, 길게는 몇 년도 걸리는 일이지만, 사람들은 봉사 활동의 한 형태라고 생각하고 자발적으로 하고 있다.

나도 반려견을 키우는 입장에서, 이런 일을 하는 사람들에게 강한 존경심을 느낀다. 나는 시간이 있을 때마다 유기견을 임시 보호하고 싶지만, 부모님이 반대하신다. 부모님이 언젠가는 내 마음을 알아 주시고 허락해 주시면 좋겠다.
