Dad's eldery wisdom.
My dad is in his mid-70s. He has a lot of time on his hands these days. So, he's begun enjoying a lot of little things here and there that he didn't before.
Every morning, my dad grinds his own beans and makes pour over coffee. Turing on classical music at full blast and drinking his coffee while taking a bath has become part of his daily routine.
My dad is every bit as good as younger people when it comes to searching for information or shipping online. He can take advantage of even minor covenience features on his smartphone or laptop.
I really admire my dad's drive to learn, even at his advanced age. I hope that he will continue to enjoy various hobbies and stay in good health during his twilight years.
나의 아버지는 70대 중반이시다. 아버지는 요즘 여가 시간이 부쩍 많이 생기셨다. 그러면서 전에는 하지 않으셨던 여러가지 소소한 일들을 즐기게 되셨다.
매일 아침 직접 원두를 갈아서 핸드 드립 커피를 내리신다. 클래식 음악을 크게 틀어놓고, 반신욕을 하면서 직접 내린 커피를 마시는 것이 아버지만의 일상 루틴이 되었다.
아버지는 정보를 검색하거나 온라인 쇼핑하는 것을 젊은 사람 못지않게 척척 하신다. 스마트폰이나 노트북의 소소한 기능들 조차 잘 활용하실 수 있다.
연세가 많으신데도 불구하고, 스스로 배우려는 아버지의 의지가 정말 존경스럽다. 아버지가 앞으로도 다양한 취미를 즐기시면서 인생의 황혼기를 건강하게 보내시면 좋겠다.
