A: I got a text and called them, but the line was busy.
B: Then you didn't talk with them?
A: They called me back saying they were from my bank.

A: They told me to install an app, and I foolishly did.

Level 3. 입트영.
Attractive voices.
In my entire life, I never gave much thought to my voice. To be honest, I never even really listened attentively to it.
But after taking up "입트영" recitations, I heard my voice properly for the first time. It didn't really sound appealing to me. It made me with that I could have a steady voice.
So, I started listening to the English tones of people whose voice I admire. I tried to follow along. That's when it struck me that it wasn't just their voice that I liked. I admired their attitude, wit, and the sincerity of the content.
These days, I think that clear enunciation and punctuation are more important than just the voice itself. What's more, anyone can come across as attractive it they speak from the heart.
저는 살면서 한 번도 제 목소리에 대해 크게 고민해 본 적이 없었습니다. 솔직히 귀 기울여 들어 본 적도 없었습니다.
그런데 "입트영" 낭독을 시작하면서, 저는 제 목소리를 처음으로 제대로 들어 봤습니다. 제 목소리가 별로 매력적으로 들리지 않았습닏. 그로 인해 뭔가 안정된 목소리를 갖고 싶다는 바람이 생겼습니다.
그래서 저는 제가 좋아하는 목소리를 가진 사람들의 영어 음성을 듣기 시작했고, 따라해 보았습니다. 그때 저는 제가 좋아했던 것이 단순히 그분들의 목소리가 아니라는 점을 깨달았습니다. 저는 그분들이 말하는 태도, 위트, 그리고 내용의 진정성을 동경했습니다.
요즘은 목소리 자체보다 정확한 발음과 끊어 읽기가 더 중요하다고 생각합니다. 게다가 누구든지 진심을 담아 말한다면 충분히 매력적일 수 있습니다.
