B : What time do you think you can come to my apartment?

A : I understand that check-in is from 2 p.m., right? But can I check in a little(= a bit = a little bit) earlier than that? Around 1(= 1 p.m. = 1 o'clock)?

Social media has been a game-changer in the way that people communicate. Users can observe the goings-on of people they know through their posts. They can also have conversations through messages. These days, social media is also widely used as an advertising platform. Advertisers can target the consumers that they want in their marketing.
However, social media is not all roses. There is a high risk of privacy infringement. Their photos, videos, location, and address might be seen by unwanted people. Damages from hacking are another sticking point. When an account is hacked, personal information may be leaked and used in other crimes.

소셜 미디어는 사람들이 소통하는 방법을 크게 바꾸어 놓았다. 이용자들은 지인들의 근황을 게시물을 통해서 살펴볼 수 있다. 메시지를 통해서 서로 대화를 나눌 수도 있다. 요즘 소셜 미디어는 광고 플랫폼으로도 많이 사용된다. 광고주 입장에서는 원하는 소비자들을 대상으로 마케팅을 할 수 있다.
그러나 소셜 미디어가 순기능만 있는 것은 아니다. 개인 사생활 침해의 우려가 매우 높다. 이용자들의 사진, 영상, 위치, 그리고 주소지 등이 원치 않는 사람들에게 공개될 수도 있다. 해킹으로 인한 피해가 또 다른 문제이다. 계정이 해킹을 당하면 개인 정보가 유출되고, 다른 범죄에 이용될 수 있다.
