Talk about the last time you went to a pharmacy.

마지막으로 약국에 갔던 경험에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

 

[Response]

A while ago, I had cold symptoms. I got checked up a clinic, and received a prescription. I came out and went to the pharmacy across the street. I gave them my prescription, and they gave me my medicine. The pharmacist explained to me how to take the medication. There were masks at the pharmacy, so I bought a handful of them. I had a persistent cough, and I thought that wearing a mask would help. Also, I had a pain in my shoulder. I got a medicated patch to put on it. Finally, I had run out of mouth wash at home, so I bought a bottle.

 

[해석]

얼마 전에 감기 증상이 있어서 병원에서 진료를 받고 처방전을 받았다. 병원을 나와서 길 건너편에 있는 약국에 갔다. 처방전을 주니 내게 약을 주었다. 약사가 약을 어떻게 복용해야 하는지 설명해 주었다. 약국에 마스크가 있어서 몇 개 구입했다. 자꾸 기침이 나와서 마스크를 쓰는 것이 도움이 될 것 같아서 였다. 어깨에도 통증이 있어서 어깨에 봍일 파스를 하나 샀다. 마지막으로 집에 구강 청결제가 떨어져서 한 병 샀다.

It's not a big ask to find a pharmacy in Korea. Almost every neighborhood has at least one. On busy streets, you can easily find several. If you don't see one, you can search for one on an app. There's usually one nearby, within walking distance. Most pharmacies in Korea are on the small side. Still, they usually have what you are looking for. This includes prescription medication and over-the-counter medication. They also sell hangover tonics, dietary fiber supplements, and vitamins. Most pharmacies don't stay open late. However, convenience stores also sell basic medical supplies. You can get them there, in a pinch.

 

[해석]

한국에서 약국은 매우 찾기 쉽다. 동네마다 약국이 거의 하나씩은 다 있다. 번화가에서는 여러 곳의 약국을 쉽게 찾을 수 있다. 안 보일 경우, 앱으로 검색을 하면 보통 도보 거리에 하나씩은 있다. 한국의 약국들은 대부분 규모가 그리 크지 않다. 하지만 필요한 약은 거의 다 있다. 처방전이 필요한 약부터 일반 의약품에 이르기까지 전부 있다. 숙취 해소제나, 식이 섬유 보조제, 비타민도 판매한다. 약국들은 대체로 영업시간이 길지 않다. 그러나 기본 의약품은 편의점에도 판매하므로 급할 때는 거기서 사면 된다.
