매표소, 매표 성적
'매표소'를 영어로는 box office라고 한다. 예전에 표를 팔던 곳이 공중전화 박스와 같은 형태로 되어 있어서 생겨난 용어이다. 주로 영화의 흥행 성적에 대해 얘기할 때 많이 쓰는 말이다.
예) How did the movie do at the box office? (그 영화 흥행 성적이 어땠어?)
