Last year, I went to a hair salon to get my hair done. I wanted to get a perm, but my hair stylist advised against it. She said my hair was too damaged. I had no choice but to cut off split ends and get a hair treatment. I received some tips on how to wash my hair and blow dry it, and I've taken greater care since then. I recently went back to the salon to get a perm. I chose the type of perm I wanted and we got to it. I hadn't dyed my hair in a while, so I also got my roots done. They had to repeatedly apply product, shampoo it out, and dry my hair. The stylist also thinned out my hair a bit. When I finally got my hair styled, I liked how it looked. It cost a pretty penny, but I didn't mind because the end product was to my liking

영어로는 '머릿결'이라는 뜻을 가진 별도의 표현이 없다. 굳이 지어낸다면 hair quality 등의 표현이 가능하겠지만, 이는 상당히 부자연스럽다. 따라서 모발과 마찬가지로 hair라는 단어를 쓰고 silky, soft, damaged, thick, thin 등의 표현으로 머릿결 상태를 묘사하면 된다.
