Spa Memories with Three Generations.
3대 모녀 목욕탕 추억.

<말하기 연습>
Our family visits my parents' house about once every two months. When we go, we usually stay the night. In the morning of the second day, the whole family often heads to a nearby spa together. My husband and son go to the men's bath. The three generations of women, my mom, my daughter, and myself, head to the women's side.
저희 가족은 두 달에 한 번 정도 친정을 방문합니다. 친정에 가면 보통 하룻밤을 자고 옵니다. 둘째 날 아침이면 온 가족이 다 함께 근처 스파에 가곤 합니다. 남편과 아들은 남탕으로, 엄마와 저 그리고제 딸까지 우리 모녀 삼대는 여탕으로 향합니다.

Soaking in the warm water and chatting quietly makes all the fatigue melt away. We drink cold plum juice, play around in the cold pool, and scrub each other's backs. Last time, my eight-year-old daughter scrubbed my back with her tiny, delicate hands.
따뜻한 물에 몸을 담근 채 도란도란 이야기를 나누면 피로가 싹 풀립니다. 시원한 매실 주스도 마시고 냉탕에서 장난도 치며 서로의 등을 밀어 줍니다. 지난번에는 여덟 살 말이 고사리 같은 손으로 제 등을 밀어 주었습니다.

My mom watched us from the side with a big smile on her face. Seeing her expression, I understood how she must have felt watching me when I was little. The warmth of that morning, shared by three generations, has stayed with me as a comforting memory.
엄마께서는 흐뭇한 미소를 짓고 그 모습을 곁에서 지켜보셨습니다. 그 표정을 보니 문득 어릴 적 저를 바라보시던 엄마의 기분을 알 것만 같았습니다. 3대가 함께 나눈 그 아침의 온기가 참 따뜻한 기억으로 남았습니다.
