<말하기 연습>
A senior colleague whom I deeply admire retired today. She has been widely appreciated at our workplace, both professionally and personally. She told me that she used ChatGPT as she prepared to say a few words to her juniors at the retirement ceremony.
진심으로 존경하는 직장 선배가 오늘 퇴임을 했다. 직장 내에서 업무적으로나 인격적으로 두루 두루 인정받은 분이다. 그녀는 퇴임식에서 후배들에게 전할 말을 준비하기 위해 ChatGPT를 이용하였다고 했다.

ChapGPT suggested composing the retirement speech to include an expression of gratitude, reflections on work experiences, and words of encouragement for the juniors. Interestingly, the first draft she had prepared earlier had the same structure. At one point, as she quoted a line from a movie she recently watched to convey a message about life, her eyes welled up with emotion.
ChapGPT는 감사의 인사, 근무 경험에 대한 소회, 후배에 대한 격려의 말을 담아 퇴임사를 구성할 것을 추천했다고 한다. 신기하게도 선배가 앞서 구성한 초안 역시 이와 같은 구성이었다고 한다. 퇴임사 중 최근 보았던 영화의 대사를 인용하여 인생에 대한 메시지를 전할 때 선배는 감정이 차올라 눈시울이 붉어지기도 했다.

As she delivered the final words of her speech, the lingering message of those words created a solemn atmosphere. I, too, paused everything to fully contemplate the meaning and emotions captured in that statement: "You are my pride."
퇴임사의 마지막 한마디가 전달되는 순간, 그 말이 품은 여운에 부위기가 숙연해졌다.
