딩크족에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

My boyfriend and I are in a commited relationship and have been dating for over three years. As we discuss marriage, we have made one promise that we are determined to keep. We will not have children after tying the knot.
남자 친구와 저는 결혼을 약속한 사이로 현재 3년 넘게 연애를 하고 있습니다. 저희는 결혼 얘기를 하면서 한 가지 꼭 지키기로 한 약속이 있습니다. 바로 결혼한 이후에 아이를 낳지 않는 것 입니다.

We decided to live as a DINK couple for a couple of reasons. Firstly, evnironmental pollution and fine dust levels have become extremely severe. When we think about raising children in such an environment, we feel hesitant to bring them into this world.
저희가 딩크족으로 살기로 결심한 데는 몇 가지 이유가 있습니다. 첫째, 환경 오염과 미세 먼지 수치가 너무 심각해졌습니다. 이러한 환경에서 아이들을 키울 생각을 하면, 차마 아이를 낳을 수 없을 것 같다는 생각이 듭니다.

Secondly, we have so many shared hobbies that we want to enjoy together. Even now, we spend our weekends camping, playing golf, and enaging in various cultural activities. If we have children, we would have to give up most of these activies.
둘째, 저희는 함께 공유하고 싶은 취미가 정말 많습니다. 지금도 저희는 캠핑이나 골프, 다양한 문화 생활을 하면서 주말을 보냅니다. 아이를 낳고 나면 이러한 활동들을 대부분 포기해야 합니다.

While we understand how precious children can be, we also believe that having time for just the two of us is just as important. We want to live our lives working hard on weekdays, sharing our hobbies on weekends, and cherishing each other.
아이도 물론 소중하겠지만, 저희 둘만의 시간을 갖는 것도 마찬가지로 중요하다고 생각합니다. 평일에는 각자의 일을 열심히 하고, 주말에는 공통의 취미를 공유하면서 서로를 아끼며 평생 살아가고 싶습니다.
