Why I Started Playing Ice Hockey. 내가 아이스하키를 시작하게 된 이유.

Not long after my son first got into ice hockey, my husband decided to start playing it himself to coach him. However, unlike other ice hockey clubs, the club my husband signed up for had an unusaually high number of female members. Every time my husband went to ice hockey practice, he would spend a long time getting ready and even spray on cologne.
아들이 아이스하키를 시작하고 얼마 지나지 않아, 남편이 아들을 코치해 보겠다고 아이스하키를 시작했습니다. 그런데 다른 아이스하키 동호회와는 달리, 남편이 가입한 동호회에는 여성회원들이 유독 많았습니다. 남편은 아이스하키 연습을 갈 때마다 준비하는 데 오래 걸렸고 향수까지 뿌렸습니다.

I kept giving him suspicious looks, so my husband invited me to a club gathering. When I went there, I found that the female members all had great personalities, and we got along really well. It was at that gathering, with their encouragement, that I decided to start playing ice hockey.
제가 계속 수상한 눈초리로 보니까, 남편이 동호회 회식 자리에 저를 초대했습니다. 막상 가서 보니 여성 회원들이 모두 성격이 좋아서 우리는 너무 잘 맞았습니다. 저는 그 자리에서 그들의 권유로 아이스하키를 시작하기로 했습니다.

It was my birthday around that time. I gave up on the gift I had originally wanted from my husband and received ice hockey equipment as a present instead. Now, my husband and I have a lot of fun exercising as a couple.
그런데 그 무렵이 제 생일이었습니다. 저는 남편에게 원래 받고 싶었던 선물을 포기하고 대신 아이스하키 장비를 선물로 받았습니다. 지금은 남편과 아주 재미있게 운동하고 있습니다.
