How Parenthood Changed Me. 육아를 하며 달라진 것들.

My in-laws used to say that to raise a child is to become an adult oneself. At first, I didn't fully understand what they meant. But as I think about it now, I used to do things depending on my condition before giving birth. I often slept in and put off doing things I had to do.
저희 시부모님께서는 아이를 키우며 자신이 어른이 되는 거라고 말씁하시곤 했습니다. 저는 이 말이 처음에는 온전히 이해가 되지 않았습니다. 그런데 지금 생각해 보니, 저는 출산 전에는 제 컨디션에 따라 행동하는 일들이 많았습니다. 늦잠을 자는 경우도 많았고, 해야 할 일을 자주 미루기도 했습니다.

But after giving birth and raising a child, I had to do what needed to be done every day, regardless of my condition. Even when I was tired, I had to suck it up.
하지만 아이를 낳고 육아를 하면서는 제 컨디션에 상관없이 해야 할 일을 매일 꼭 해야 했고, 피곤할 때도 참고 견뎌야 했습니다.

When I was first raising my oldest child, I felt resentful and powerless because I couldn't do anything. But as I raise my second child, I am practicing the Miracle Morning and I've started to cherish myself more. I realized that this is necessary to pour love on my children and give them more.
처음 첫째 아이를 키울 때에는 아무것도 못한다는 것 때문에 억울하고 무력감이 들기도 했습니다. 하지만 둘째 아이를 키울 때는 미라클 모님을 실천하며 나 자신을 더 아끼며 살기 시작했습니다. 이렇게 해야 아이들을 더 사랑하고 아이들에게 더 많은 것을 해 줄 수 있다는 생각이 들었습니다.
