Living One's Best Life. 갓생살기 프로젝트.

"갓생살기" 프로젝트에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

In the past, people in their 20s and 30s were mostly interested in eating, drinking, and having a good time. But these days, it's a whole different story. They live as morning people, work out regulary, and study foreign language. They even get a head start on studying personal finance, as they try to make the most of their time every day.
예전에는 20대, 30대 사람들은 주로 먹고 마시고 노는 일에 관심이 많았는데, 요즘은 완전히 달라지고 있다. 아침형 인간으로 살며, 꾸준히 운동을 하고, 외국어 공부도 한다. 더 나아가 재테크 공부도 일찌감치 시작하며 매일 시간을 쪼개 가며 열심히 살고자 한다.

That's why the so-called "God-saeng" project is a term that is trending among these young people in their 20s and 30s. "God-saend" is a newly coined word combining the English word "God" and the chinese character "saeng" meaning life. It refers to an industrious lifestyle that sets an example for others. I, too, am participating in this "God-saeng" project.
그래서 이러한 2030 젊은 사람들 사이에서 이른바 "갓생살기" 프로젝트라는 말이 유행이다. "갓생"이라는 말은 영어 단어 God와 인생을 뜻하는 "생"을 합친 신조어이다. 부지런하고 타인의 모범이 되는 삶을 뜻한다. 나 또한 이러한 "갓생살기" 프로젝트에 참여하고 있다.

However, comparing yourself to others while trying to live your best life can easily make it short-lived. It's important to find satisfaction and happiness with any small progress compared to the person you were yesterday. I believe that is the true meaning of this project.
하지만 "갓생살기"를 하면서 자신을 남들과 비교하면 작심삼일이 되기 쉽다. 어제의 나 자신과 비교하여 조금이라도 발전된 모습에 만족하고 기뻐할 줄 아는 것이 중요하다. 그것이 이러한 프로젝트의 진정한 의미가 아닐까 싶다.
