Eating at home. 집밥 먹기

Talk about eating at home.
집밥에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

My husband and I both work from home, so we usually eat in for all of our meals. Our child eats lunch at school but has breakfast and dinner at home. Lately, our family has been trying to eat out and order delivery less often. Instead, we are making an effort to eat more home-cooked meals. There are a few reasons for this.
남편과 나는 둘 다 집에서 일을 하기 때문에, 보통 집에서 모든 끼니를 해결하는 편이다. 아이는 점심은 학교에서 먹지만 아침과 저녁은 집에서 먹는다. 요즘 우리 가족은 외식과 배달 음식을 줄이고, 대신 집밥을 최대한 더 먹기 위해 노력하는 중이다. 여기에는 몇 가지 이유가 있다.

The first reason is to cook with fresh ingredients for our health. Exercise is important to maintain good health, but what we eat is even more critical.
첫 번째 이유는 건강을 생각해서 신선한 식재료로 요리해 먹기 위해서이다. 건강 관리를 위해 운동도 중요하지만, 먹는 것이 훨씬 더 중요하다.

The second reason is to save on living expenses. Eating out and ordering in becomes much more expensive. We started cooking at home to be more-cost-effective.
두 번째 이유는 생활비를 절약하기 위해서이다. 외식을 하거나 배달 음식을 먹으면 생활비가 훨씬 더 많이 든다. 우리는 합리적인 소비를 위해 집에서 밥을 해 먹기 시작했다.

The third reason is to reduce our use of disposable items. Ordering delivery seems to generate about three times more recyclable waste. We wanted to reduce the use of disposable items for the sake of the planet.
세 번째 이유는 일회용품 사용을 줄이기 위해서이다. 배달 음식을 시켜 먹으면 재활용 쓰레기가 세 배 정도 더 많이 나오는 것 같다. 우리는 지구를 생각해서 일회용품 사용을 줄이고 싶었다.

B: 저도 그래요. 그러면 음식물 쓰레기를 줄이는 데 도움이 되더라고요.
