A: Oh, so that is why the North and South still remain divided to this day.
B: That's correct. We commemorate this day to remember all the fallen soldiers.

Children's Rights. 아동 인권.

<말하기 연습>
Talk about children's rights.
As I raise my 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son, I find myself paying more attention to things related to children these days.


Among them, the term "human rights" resonates with me a lot lately. Before raising children, I took no notice of the term "no kids zone," but now I realize that it is discriminatory language. I also think it's worth considering that posting cute pictures of children online is a potentail violation of their rights.

"Children's rights" are special protections and considerations for children under 18 years old. In the past, the term "human rights" came across as a heavy and deep philosophical concept. It was an abstract concept that I couldn't get a handle on. But I was a kid once, too. I look back on my own childhood through my kids. I hope that by demonstrating compassion and love for children, we can lead social change together.

B: Oh really? Please tell me your thoughts on it when you've finished.

A: "아동 인권"이라는 말을 들어 보셨어요?
B: 네, 요즘 여기저기서 듣는 것 같아요.
A: 부모가 되니 저도 관심을 더 갖게 되네요.
B: 맞아요. 아이가 없으면 간과하기 쉬운 문제예요.
A: 요즘 아동 인권 감수성에 대한 책을 읽고 있어요.
B: 아, 그래요? 다 읽고 나서 어땠는지 알려 주세요.
