My Child is Growing up. 많이 커 버린 아이.

A while ago in the summer, my 33-month-old son was running a fever all night. I took him to the hospital the next morning. As soon as we got there, he was tested for CoVID-19. To my great relief, the test result came back negative.
얼마 전 여름, 33개월 된 아들이 밤새 열이 나서 다음 날 아침에 병원에 데리고 갔다. 도착하자마자 코로나 검사를 받았는데,  매우 다행스럽게도 검사 결과가 음성이 나왔다.

A little later, the doctor said that he suspected an upset stomach. He asked whether my son was taking his medicine properly. I said he was, and the doctor prescribed some medicine. But when I tried to give it to my son, he threw a tantrum, saying it was too bitter. I had to give him some water and scacks to calm him down.
잠시 후 의사 선생님은 체한 것 같다고 하시며, 아이가 약을 잘 먹는지 물어보셨다. 내가 그렇다고 말하자 의사 선생님이 약을 처방해 주셨다. 그런데 아이에게 약을 먹이려고 하자 아이가 약이 너무 쓰다며 떼를 쎴다. 물을 먹이고 과자를 먹여서 진정시켜야 했다.

In the evening, he again refused to take his medicine and demanded that I throw it out. I explained to him that bad Mr, Germ was in his stomach, and that was why he had a tummy ache and fever. Hearing this, he squeezed his eyes shut and opened his mouth. It was so adorable. I quickly gave him the medicine and popped candy in his mouth. It was a touching moment. I hope you will always be healthy. I love you. little one.
저녁에 아이는 또 약 먹는 게 싫다고 하면서 약을 갖다 버리라고 했다. 나는 아이에게 배에 나쁜 세균 아저씨가 있어서 배가 아프고 열이 나는 거라고 설명해 줬다. 이 얘기를 듣더니 아이가 눈을 질끈 감고 입을 벌렸다. 그 모습이 너무 사랑스러웠다. 나는 얼른 약을 넣어 주고 입에 사탕을 물려 줬다. 너무 감동스러운 순간이었다. 늘 건강하길 바란다. 사랑해. 아가야.

A: 먹은 게 체한 것 같다고 하더라고요.
B: 약은 먹이셨어요?
A: 네, 처음에 약이 너무 쓰다고 떼쓰는 걸 겨우 먹였어요.
B: 아이가 빨리 나았으면 좋겠네요.
