"Earth Hour" is an environmental campaign organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature. The campaign was launched to raise awareness of climate change caused by environmental pollution, and to help protect the earth's environment. People participate by killing the lights for an hour starting 8:30 p.m on the last Saturday of March each year.
"어스 아워"는 세계자연기금이 주최하는 환경 운동 캠페인을 말합니다. 환경 오염으로 인한 기후 변화를 인식하고, 지구 환경 보호를 목적으로 시작한 캠페인입니다. 사람들은 매년 3월 마지막주 토요일에 오후 8시 30분부터 1시간 동안 소등을 하며 참여합니다.

Our family has participated for 3 years since 2020. We prepare in advance by stocking up on candles and pitching a tent in the living room. We prepare snacks, play games together, and discuss the serious issue of climate change.
우리 가족은 2020년부터 3년 동안 참여하고 있습니다. 촛불을 비축해 두고 거실에 텐트를 치면서 미리 준비를 합니다. 그리고 간식을 준비하고, 같이 게임도 하고, 기후 변화의 심각성도 함께 이야기합니다.

Carbon emissions and pollution are raising the earth's temperature. We feel a sense of pride knowing that we are doing our part, no matter how small, to lower it again. We also participate in green practices like turning off nonessential lights, conserving water, and traveling on foot for short distances.
탄소 배출과 환경 오염으로 지구의 기온이 상승하고 있습니다. 우리가 조금이나마 기온을 낮추는 데 동참한다고 생각하니 뿌듯합니다. 더 나아가 우리는 불필요한 전등 끄기, 물 아껴 쓰기, 가까운 거리는 걸어 다니기 등 환경을 보전하는 일에도 참여하고 있습니다.
