The Hydrogen Economy.
수소 경제.
Most major energy source have been fossil fuels ever since the industrial revolution. But in the future, they will make way for various renewable energy sources like solar and wind power. If electricity generated from renewable sources can't be stored in a different way it will have to go to waste.
산업혁명 이후 주요 에너지원은 화석 연료였지만, 앞으로는 태양광과 풍력 같은 다양한 재생 에너지가 점차 그 자리를 대신할 것입니다. 그런데 재생 에너지로 생산된 전기는 다른 형태로 저장되지 않으면 버려질 수밖에 없습니다.
That means a separate carrier is needed to store electricity and transport it over long distances. This is why renewable energy must be developed in tandem with hydrogen. Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. It exists on earth in the form of water that fills the enormous oceans. Renewable energy can be used for the electrolysis of all this water, producing hydrogen.
