Talk about life as a law school student.
When I was in college, I majored in law. I got a job that had nothing to do with my major after graduating. But I had lingering regrets, and decided in my 30s to go back to law shcool.
Right from the get-to in my first semester, it wasn't easy. I always felt like I would break into tears as I studied. I struggled with the heavy workload. But time flies, and I am in my third year already. Next year, I will take the bar exam.
I am not the type of person to set major goals in life and try to achieve them. Instead, I select the best option whenever I am faced with a choice. So, I don't have nay detailed plans for what to do after the bar exam. But my reason for choosing this course is clear. My job will enable me to help others and contribute to society.
저는 대학 때 법을 전공했습니다. 졸업 후 전공과 전혀 상관없는 일을 하다가, 미련이 남아 30대에 로스쿨을 다시 가기로 결심했습니다.
첫 학기부터 쉽지 않은 과정이었습니다. 저는 늘 울면서 공부하는 심정이었습니다. 쏟아지는 과제량에 허덕이는 생활을 했습니다. 그런데 시간이 금세 지나가 벌써 3학년이 되었고, 내년에 변호사 시험을 치르게 됩니다.
저는 인생의 큰 계획을 미리 정하고 목표 달성을 위해 매진하는 스타일의 사람이 아닙니다. 대신 선택의 기로에 놓일 때마다 최선의 선택을 하는 편입니다. 그래서 변호사 시험 후 무엇을 할지 자세한 계획은 가지고 있지 않습니다. 그렇지만 제가 이 길을 선택한 이유는 확실합니다. 제 직업으로 다른 사람을 도울 수 있고 사회에 기여할 수 있기 때문입니다.
