Making fermented foods.
I have a soft spot for fermented foods, so I eat yogurt and natto every day. But whenever I bought these products, the plastic packaging they used weighed on my mind. That's why I decided to try my hand at making these fermented foods myself at home.
Anyone can easily make fermented foods, as long as you control the temperature properly. I decided to use a home-use warmer. To make yogurt, you mix milk with a yogurt starter and set an appropriate temperature and time. That's all there is to it. Natto is much the same. You cook beans in a pressure cooker and mix them with natto spores. Then you let them sit for 24 hours at 45 degrees.
It's great that I don't have to throw away plastic containers every day. It's much easier on the wallet, too. And as an added bonus, I don't have to worry about food additives. There is the additional work of cleaning the containers, but I feel more fulfilled this way.
발효 식품 만들기.
나는 발효 식품을 좋아해서 매일 요구르트와 낫토를 먹는다. 그런데 이 제품들을 구입할때마다 나오는 플라스틱 용기가 항상 마음에 걸렸다. 그래서 이러한 발효 식품들을 집에서 직접 만들어 보기로 했다.
발효 식품은 온도 조절만 적절하게 하면 누구든지 쉽게 만들 수 있다. 나는 가정용 보온기를 사용하기로 했다. 요구르트를 만들려면 요구르트균과 우유를 섞어서 적절한 온도와 시간을 설정하면 된다. 그것이 전부다. 낫토도 마찬가지이다. 콩을 압력솥에서 익힌 후에 낫토균과 섞는다. 그런 다음 45도에서 24시간 동안 숙성 시키면 된다.
플라스틱 용기를 매일 버리지 않아도 되니 좋고, 가격 부담도 훨씬 적다. 게다가 식품 첨가물에 대해 걱정할 필요가 없다는 장점도 있다. 용기를 씻는 수고는 늘었지만 마음만은 더 풍요로워진 기분다.
