[Response]

Drive-in theaters have been around in Korea for quite some time. People like them because they can watch a movie without having to step out of their car. You can hear the movie's audio by adjusting the radio in the car.
The theaters sell light snacks, so you can munch on them while you watch the movie. Best of all, you don't have to be mindful of others, and you can watch a movie in comfort. This makes these theaters popular dating spots.
Following the coronavirus outbreak, the number of visitors to ordinary theaters dropped sharply. As social distancing has taken root in our daily lives, more people have been visiting drive-in theaters than before.


[해석]

우리나라에 자동차 극장이 도입된 지는 꽤 오래되었다. 차에서 내리지 않고 영화를 볼 수 있어서 호응을 얻는다. 차 안에서 라디오 주파수를 맞추면 영화 음성이 들린다.
극장에서 가벼운 간식류도 팔아서, 먹으면서 영화를 볼 수 있다. 무엇보다 남들 신경 쓰지 않고 편안하게 영화를 볼 수 있어서, 데이트 장소로도 인기가 많다.
코로나바이러스 발병 이후에 일반 영화관을 찾는 사람들의 수가 크게 줄었다. 사회적 거리 두기가 생활화되면서, 자동차 극장을 찾는 사람들이 예전에 비해 더 많아졌다.
