[Response]

Disposable items make our lives convenient. Paper cups, disposable chopsticks, and disposable dishes are widely used around us. In effect, the wrappers and containers for various products are also disposable. However, these disposable items hit the environment hard. Excessive use of such goods is a waste of resources. It's also a culprit behind environmental pollution. The only way out is to cut down on the use of disposable goods, or to recycle them.

일회용품은 우리 생활을 편리하게 해 준다. 종이컵이나 일회용 젓가락, 일회용 접시들이 우리 주변에서 널리 사용된다. 다양한 상품의 포장지나 용기들도 사실상 일회용 제품이다. 그러나 이러한 일회용품은 환경에 심각한 영향을 끼친다. 일회용품의 지나친 사용은 자원을 낭비하는 것이다. 이는 환경 오염의 주범이기도 하다. 일회용품 사용을 줄이거나 재활용하는 것이 유일한 해결책이다.

Recycling is the best way to resolve the problem of excessive garbage. It takes decades for plastics to decompose naturally. They are a primary cause of environmental destruction. The recycling rate of plastics is very high in advanced nations where recycling has become a way of life. Collecting bottles and aluminum cans and recycling them is also the way to go. Korea is a model nation when it comes to recycling.

재활용은 넘쳐나는 쓰레기 문제를 해결하는 가장 좋은 방법이다. 플라스틱이 자연적으로 분해되기까지는 수십 년이 걸린다. 이러한 플라스틱은 환경파괴의 주된 원인이다. 재활용이 일상화된 선진국에서는 플라스틱 제품들의 재활용률이 매우 높다. 유리병이나 알루미늄 캔을 모아서 재활용하는 것도 매우 좋은 방법이다. 한국은 재활용을 잘 시행하고 있는 국가 중에 하나다.
