[Topic]

Talk about a movie that didn't meet your expectations.

[Model Response]

I remember when a recent movie didn't meet my expectations. Before it was released, there was a lot of hype surrounding the movie. There were many media reports and the main actors were on TV promoting the movie. One of them was my favorite actor, so I went to watch the movie at the theater. I thought it would do well at the box office. However, the movie was a total flop. My friends were disappointed with the movie as well. I regretted making the time to watch it. In the end, the film did terrible at the box office. There are movies that fail like this from time to time.

[Speaking Tips]

box office

How did the movie do at the box office?
The sequel was a box-office hit.

 [Expression of the Day]

I can't wait for the sequel.

A: That was a great movie.
B: I agree. I can't wait for the sequel.
A: When is it coming out?
B: I'm not sure. Let's check online.

A: 언제 나오지?

 [Homework]

(not meet one's expectations)

(a total flop)
(do terrible at the box office)
