<말하기 연습>
Before dawn, while it was still dark, I headed out for work a bit earlier than usual. The streets, noisy during the day, had settled into silence. Only the cold air was still hanging around. But even in that quiet, the city was already on the move.
짙은 어둠이 가시지 않은 새벽, 평소보다 이른 출근길에 나섰다. 낮 동안 소란했던 거리는 고요히 가라앉았고 차가운 공기만이 맴돌았다. 하지만 그 정적 속에서도 도시는 이미 숨 가쁘게 움직이고 있었다.

A bakery at the end of an alley filled the air with the smell of freshly baked bread. Trucks were pulling in at the market entrance, adding a sense of energy. Vendors, their breath visible in the cold, busily carried their goods. The steady sound of brooms from street cleaners swept away the traces of the night. The driver of the first bus picked up passengers under dim lights.
골목 끝 빵집에서 갓 구운 빵 냄새가 새벽 공기를 가득 채웠다. 시장 어귀에 몰려든 트럭들이 활기를 더했다. 상인들은 추위 속에 입김을 내뿜으며 분주히 물건을 날랐다. 거리 청소부들의 규칙적인 빗질 소리는 밤의 흔적을 깨끗이 지워냈다. 버스 첫차를 모는 기사는 희미한 실내등 아래 승객들을 태웠다.

As the delivery workers hurried along, the city gradually came to life. Carried by the quiet efforts of people working in their own places, the morning was softly but unmistakably beginning.
배달원들의 분주한 발걸음까지 더해져 도시는 점점 활기를 띠었다. 각자의 자리에서 묵묵히 땀흘리는 이들의 손길을 타고, 새벽은 조용하지만 분명하게 깨어나고 있었다.

B: 그분들 덕분에 아침에 모든 곳이 이렇게 깨끗한거지.
A: 우리가 잠들어 있는 사이에 도시가 준비되는 거네.
B: 응. 생각해 보면 정말 감사한 일이야.
