Silver Wedding Anniversary.
결혼 25주년 기념 "은혼식"

<말하기 연습>
It has been 25 years since our wedding, which means it's our silver anniversary. To celebrate all the years we've spent together, we decided to splurge a bit and take a family trip to Germany. We went with our son, who is fluent in English.
올해로 우리 부부는 결혼 25주년, 즉 은혼식을 맞이하게 되었다. 함께한 세월을 기념하고자 큰맘 먹고 독일로 가족 여행을 떠나기로 했다. 영어가 능통한 아들까지 합세하게 되었다.

We didn't want the rushed schedule of a package tour, so we chose to travel independently. My husband did the driving, I planned the itinerary, and our son handled communication on the ground. In the past, he was just a kid I had to take care of. Seeing him navigate routes with Google Maps and lead the trip in condident English really made me feel how much time has passed.
우리는 패키지 여행의 강행군이 싫어서 자유 여행을 택했다. 남편은 운전을 하고, 나는 일정을 세우고, 아들은 현지 의사소통을 담당했다. 예전에는 내가 챙겨 줘야 했던 아이가 이제는 구글맵으로 길을 찾고, 유창한 영어로 여행을 리드하는 모습을 보니 격세지감이 느껴졌다.

Thanks to our grown son taking care of things, the trip felt relaxed and easy. In a foreign setting, we had long conversations over drinks with our adult son. It was a happy time filled with a deep sense of family, very different from our honeymoon.
장성한 아들이 알아서 척척 준비해 준 덕분에 여행은 아주 편안하고 수월했다. 이국적인 풍경 속에서 우린 성인이 된 아들과 술잔을 기울이며 많은 대화를 나누었다. 신혼여행과는 또 다른 끈끈한 가족애를 느낀 행복한 시간이었다.
