My Grandmother
사랑하는 나의 할머니

<말하기 연습>
My Grandmoter, who lives in the countryside, turned 94 this year. I grew up eating the grains and produce she raised herself in the fields. Even now, she picks bugs off her crops by hand and grows vegetables without any pesticides. They still taste great.
시골에 사시는 우리 할머니는 올해 연세가 94세입니다. 저는 할머니가 손수 논밭에서 키우신 곡식과 농산물을 먹고 자랐습니다. 지금도 할머니가 손으로 직접 벌레를 잡으시며 무농약으로 키우신 야채의 맛은 예전이나 변함없이 맛있습니다.

I usually visit my grandmother about once a year. Her hearing is getting worse, but she's still in good health. She always tells me to eat lots of green onions and regular onions. I think the secret to her long life is really just eating so many vegetables.
보통 1년에 한 번 정도 할머니를 찾아뵙는데, 청력은 점점 안 좋아지지만 여전히 건강하십니다. 할머니는 늘 저에게 파와 양파를 많이 먹으라고 하십니다. 할머니의 장수 비결은 진짜로 야채를 많이 드신 덕분인 것 같습니다.

Every time I visit, she gently strokes my face and gives me a big hug. The time I spend cleaning her ears for her feel like precious moments to me.
할머니는 제가 갈 때마다 얼굴을 어루만지며 꼭 안아 주십니다. 할머니의 귀를 파 드리는 시간이 저에게는 참 소중하게 느껴집니다.
