<말하기 연습>
I recently went to deliver coal briquettes as volunteer work. I found the project through a volunteer website. Volunteers make a donation of 10,000 won which is used to purchase coal briquettes. The briquettes are then delivered to those in need.
저는 최근에 한 자원봉사 사이트를 통해서 알게 된 연탄 배달 봉사 활동을 다녀왔습니다. 봉사자가 만원을 기부하면 그 돈으로 연탄을 구매하고, 도움이 필요한 분들에게 연탄을 전달해 주는 자원봉사 입니다.

A single briquette costs 850 won and weights 3.65 kg. Since briquttes are used not only in the dead of winter but from September to June of the following year, a considerable amount is needed.
연탄 한 장의 가격은 850원이며, 무게는 3.65킬로그램입니다. 연탄은 한겨울에만 때는 게 아니라 9월부터 다음해 6월까지 때야하니, 꽤 많은 양의 연탄이 필요하다고 합니다.

Once the volunteers had gathered, we went through a brief orientation. After that, we stood in a line passed the purchased briquettes one by one. The senior citizens who received the briquettes were very happy, and I felt a great sense of fulfillment. I now plan to make briqutte volunteering a regular part of my routine in the winter.
봉사자들이 모이자 간단한 오리엔테이션을 받았습니다. 그러고 나서, 우리는 일렬로 서서 구매한 연탄을 하나씩 전달하였습니다. 연탄을 받으신 어르신들이 아주 기뻐하셔서, 뿌듯함을 만끽하고 왔습니다. 이제 연탄 봉사를 저의 겨울 루틴으로 정착시키려고 합니다.
