<말하기 연습>
I am a mom rasing three kids in Chungcheong-do Province. I lived in Busan all my life until I turned 20. We don't get a lot of snow in Busan. There might be a few snowy days occasionally, but it usually doesn't pile up on the ground. So, I hardly ever had a chance to frolic in the snow until I was 20.
저는 충청도에서 세 아이를 키우고 있는 엄마입니다. 저는 태어나서 20살이 될 때까지 부산에서만 살았습니다. 부산은 눈이 많이 오지 않습니다. 어쩌다가 눈이 내리는 날이 몇 번 있지만, 보통 땅에 잘 쌓이지는 않습니다. 그래서 저는 20살까지 눈놀이를 거의 해 본 적이 없었습니다.

In Chungchong-do Provice, snow falls all the time. Our kids are crazy about it. Last winter, we really got a lot of snow. So, I decided to make a huge snowman with the kids for the first time. Despite the freezing weather, we managed to finish building the snowman.
충청도에는 눈이 제법 자주 옵니다. 우리 아이들은 눈을 몹시 좋아합니다. 지난 겨울에는 눈이 정말 많이 왔습니다.그래서 저는 처음으로 아이들과 커다란 눈사람을 만들어 보기로 했습니다. 날씨가 몹시 추웠지만, 우리는 기어이 눈사람을 완성했습니다.

I only thought of the temperate climate as an advantage when I lived in Busan. But I feel a twinge of regret that I couldn't experience playing the snow this way during my own childhood.
부산에 살 때는 기후가 따뜻한 것이 장점이라고만 생각했습니다. 하지만 어릴 때 이렇게 눈놀이를 경험할 수 없다는 것이 조금 아쉬움으로 남습니다.

A: 저는 부산에서 태어나고 자라서 눈 구경을 많이 못했어요.
B: 아, 그랬군요. 그럼 이런 날씨가 새롭게 느껴지겠어요.
