A: 너는 한글 배우는 거 어땠어? 어떤 사람들에겐 쉽지 않다고 알고 있긴 해.
B: 아, 기본 글자들은 나로서는 꽤 쉬웠어. 한국 오는 비행기 안에서 빠르게 익혔거든.
A: 그래? 세종 대왕님과 그분이 이끄신 학자들이 그 말을 들었다면 정말 좋아하셨겠다.
B: 그거 흥미롭네. 그러니까 한글이 왕에 의해서 만들어졌다는 거지? 그거 참 멋진 일인걸! 그분이 한글 창제 동기는 무엇이었을지 궁금하다.
A: 그분은 백성들이 보다 쉽게 배우고 쓸 수 있도록 정말 돕고 싶으셨던 거지.

<말하기 연습>
I am a big fan of tumblers. Tumblers offer many advantages. First, you can use them throughout the year, keeping beverages icy cold during the summer and piping hot in the winter.
나는 텀블러를 애용한다. 텀블러는 장점이 매우 많다. 우선, 음료를 여름에는 시원하게, 겨울에는 따뜻하게 유지해 줘서 연중 내내 사용할 수 있다.

Secondly, they help to protect the environment. If you consume a cup of coffee a day, the number of disposable cups that can be reduced each time adds up to 30 cups in a month, and 365 or even more each year.
두 번째로, 환경 보호에 기여할 수 있다. 커피를 하루에 한 잔씩 마시면 그때마다 줄일 수 있는 일회용 컵의 개수가 한달이면 30개, 일년이면 365개 혹은 그 이상에 달한다.

Thirdly, tumblers can be carried in bags, which frees up your hands. They're especially must-haves for parents raising young children. We use tumblers for the juice our kids drink outdoors.
세 번째로, 텀블러는 가방에 넣어 다닐 수 있어서 손이 자유로울 수 있다. 특히, 어린 아이를 키우는 부모들에게 필수템이다. 우리는 아이들이 밖에서 마실 주스를 텀블러에 담아 준다.

Whith all these benefits, I hope more and more people will embrace the use of tumblers.
이렇게 여러 가지 장점이 있는 텀블러를 더 많은 사람들이 애용했으면 좋겠다.
