Father-Son Cross Country Trip. 아빠와 아들의 국토종주 여행.

I am a dad in my mid-40s with a son in middle school. I noticed that my son has been growing up faster and faster. So, I thought it would be nice to create some memories, with just the two of us, before the year goes by. I made a new year's plan to cycle across the country.
아들이 점점 빠르게 커 가는 게 느껴져서, 올해가 가기 전에 우리 부자만의 추억을 만들면 좋겠다는 생각이 들었다. 그래서 나는 자전거로 국토종주를 하려는 새해 계획을 세웠다.

The main cross country bicycle route is a course which stretches from the west coast in Incheon and ends in Busan, passing through four provinces and Seoul along the way. The total distance is 633 km from end to end. We planned each leg of the journey to be around 43-47 km, rougly the length of a marathon. Most segments took about 5-6 hours to complete.
인천의 서해 바다에서 시작하여 중간에 서울과 4개의 도를 거쳐 부산에서 끈나는 길이 대표적인 국토종주 자전거 길이다. 끝에서 끝까지 전체 거리는 총 633킬로미터다. 우리는 각 구간을 대략 마라톤 길이에 맞춰서 43-47킬로미터 정도로 계획하였다. 대부분의 구간은 완주하는 데 5~6시간 정도 소요되었다.

We almost gave up once when it rained cats and dogs, but we managed to go the distance. We have about seven more rides left. I hope to finish them all before the end of this year to create fond memories with my son.
한번은 폭우가 쏟아져서 중간에 포기할 뻔했지만, 우리는 끝까지 완주를 해냈다. 앞으로 7번 정도 주행이 남았는데, 올해가 가기 전에 끝내서 아들과 함께 좋은 추억을 만들고 싶다.
