My Online Friends.
I am active in an online English study group with people I got to know through the "입트영" recitation challenge. We all study with the same book every day, and exchange thoughts about each day's topic. This has brought us close together.
At first, we stuck to the topic of English studies. But nowadays, we share various aspects of daily life. In the beginning, I felt self-conscious about talking with stragers in a group chatroom. But now, conversations with my online buddies have become part of my daily routine. We are all different ages ad live in different places. But we have become good friends as we share our hardships and root for each other.
A year has passed since we met each other. Finally, all of us have agreed to meet in person this weekend at Seoul Station. I have been looking forward to that day ever since we agreed to meet up.
나의 온라인 친구들.
저는 입트영 낭독 챌린지를 통해 알게 된 분들과 온라인 영어 스터디 모임을 하고 있습니다. 매일 같은 책으로 공부를 하고 그날의 주제에 대해서 대화를 나누다 보니, 우리는 친해지게 되었습니다.
처음에는 주로 영어 학습에 대한 얘기만 주고받았습니다. 그런데 요즘에는 다양한 일상의 생활을 공유하게 되었습니다. 잘 모르는 사람들과 채팅방에서 얘기를 하는 것이 처음에는 어색했지만, 이제는 온라인 친구들과 대화가 일상이 되었습니다. 우리는 나이도 사는 곳도 전부 다릅니다. 하지만 힘든 일이 있으면 함께 나누고 서로 응원해 주면서 좋은 친구가 되었습니다.
우리가 알고 지낸 지 일 년이라는 시간이 지났습니다. 드디어 우리 11명은 이번 주 주말에 서울역에서 실제로 만나기로 했습니다. 만날 약속을 잡은 이후부터는 그날이 너무나 기다려지고 무척 설렙니다.
