The Korean Minjok Leadership Academy.
The Korean Minjok Leadership Academy is an independent private high school located in Hoengseong, Gangwon-do province. The school's guiding principle is "rasing global leaders filled with national spirit at heart."
The student body of about 450 all live in a dormitory. Interestingly, traditional Korean attire, or hanbok, was selected as the school uniform. And yet, students regularly use English during their everyday activities. This is a key aspect of the school.
Because of its geographic location, students at the Korean Minjok Leadership Academy cannot study at private cram schools. As such, they effectively practice self-directed learning. What's more, students build up experience and a wide breadth of knowledge through various extracurricular activities. Plus, there are various special events being held all year long. These include freshmen welcom parties and barbecue days.
민족사관 고등학교.
민족사관 고등학교는 강원도 횡성에 위치한 자립형 사립 고등학교입니다. "민족 정신으로 무장한 세계적 지도자 양성"이 학교의 핵심 이념입니다.
450여 명의 전교생이 전원 기숙사 생활을 하고 있습니다. 독특하게도 한국의 전통 의상인 한복을 교복으로 채택하여 입고 있습니다. 그런데도 학생들은 평소에 영어를 거의 상용화하여 쓰고 있는데, 이 점이 민사고의 주요 특징 중 하나입니다.
학교의 지리적 특성상 민사고의 학생들은 사설 입시 학원을 다니며 공부할 수가 없습니다. 그런만큼 자기 주도 학습을 효과적으로 실천하고 있습니다. 더불어, 학생들은 다양한 동아리 활동을 통해 경험과 폭넓은 지식을 쌓기도 합니다. 또한 신입생 환영회와 바비큐 데이 등 일 년 내내 이어지는 여러 특별한 행사들이 있습니다.
