Piano Practice.
I took piano lessons for 3 years, from 3rd grade until the 5th. I didn't practice at all after calling it quits at the piano academy, so I can no longer play any songs. I have my regrets as grown-up. I wish I had kept at it and practice the piano a little longer.
My 6th-grade son has diligently played the piano since he was 7 years old. Unlike me, he hasn't grown sick of the piano. He dutifully practices every day. My son's piano teacher throw in 10-minute lessons for me, as well. She does it free of charge, saying that I need to be able to play myself in order to really hear what my child is playing.
So, it's been 3 years since I somehow came to play the piano again. I fell like I have noticeably improved since then.
피아노 연습.
나는 초등학교 3학년부터 5학년까지 만 3년 동안 피아노 레슨을 받았다. 피아노 학원을 그만둔 이후로는 연습을 전혀 하지 않아서 지금은 칠 수 있는 곳이 거의 없다. 성인이 되고 보니 피아노를 꾸준히 해서 좀 더 오래 쳤으면 좋았을 걸 후회가 된다.
6학년인 우리 아들은 7살부터 지금까지 꾸준히 피아노를 치고 있다. 나와 다르게 피아노를 질려 하지 않고, 매일 성실히 연습한다. 아들의 피아노 선생님은 나에게도 10분씩 레슨을 덤으로 해 주신다. 엄마가 칠 줄 알아야 아이가 어떤 소리를 내는지 들을 수 있다고 하시며, 무보수로 레슨을 해 주시는 것이다.
그래서 얼떨결에 피아노를 다시 치게 된 지 3년이 됐다. 그 이후로 실력이 눈에 띄게 늘었다는 것을 느낀다.
