Talk about blood tests.
Blood tests are a convenient and efficient way to check up on your health. Blood consists of blood cells that fulfill various functions, and a liquid containing biochemical substances.
Whole blood is used when analyzing blood cells, including red and white blood cells. The liquid remaining after blood coagulation is called blood serum. Blood plasma is the liquid part of unhardened blood. These liquid substances can be obtained via centrifugation. They offer insight into various antibodies, tumor markers, or nutrients within the blood.
Analyzing substances in the blood usually requires the use of various anticoagulants. This prevents the blood from hardening. Various different test tubes are needed with an increasing number of test items.
혈액 검사는 간편하고 효율적으로 몸의 건강 상태를 파악할 수 있는 방법이다. 혈액은 여러 기능을 하는 혈액 세포들과 생화학적 물질들이 포함된 액체로 구성되어 있다.
전혈은 적혈구와 백혈구 등을 포함해 혈액 세포들을 분석할 때 사용한다. 피가 굳고 나서 남아 있는 액체는 혈청이라고 하고, 피가 굳지 않은 상태의 액체는 혈장이라고 한다. 이러한 액체 성분은 원심 분리를 통해 얻어낼 수 있으며, 이를 통해 각종 항체, 종양 표지자, 혹은 혈중 영양 성분들에 대해 파악할 수 있다.
혈액 속에 있는 성분들을 분석하기 위해서는 보통 각종 항응고제를 사용하는데, 이는 혈액이 굳지 않도록 해 준다. 따라서 필요한 검사 항목이 많아질 수록 다양한 종류의 시험관이 필요하다.
