The Qualities of a Good Webtoon.
I enjoying reading webtoons. The webtoons I like have a few things in common.
First, they drop clues that foreshadow what's to come. For example, something a fortuneteller says early on comes true later on. The reader can have a great time by piecing together clues like this to predict the ending.
Next, they contain content that people can relate to. Main characters are people who have been dumped, who hate studying, or who are self-conscious about their looks. When I can sympathize with the characters, it helps me immerse myself in a webtoon.
Finally, the best webtoons have a clear genre. Works that clearly follow genre conventions are easier to get into.
나는 웹툰 보는 것을 좋아한다. 내가 즐겨 읽는 웹툰들은 몇 가지 공통점이 있다.
먼저, 앞으로 펼쳐질 내용을 암시하는 단서들을 흘려 준다. 초반에 한 점쟁이가 하는 말이 후반에 현실이 된다. 독자는 이러한 단서들을 연결해서 결말을 예측하는 재미를 느낄 수 있다.
다음으로, 사람들이 공감할 수 있는 내용이 나온다. 등장인물은 실연당한 사람, 공부를 싫어하는 사람, 외모에 자신이 없는 사람 등이다. 나는 캐릭터에 공감이 되면 웹툰을 볼 때 감정이입이 잘 된다.
마지막으로, 좋은 웹툰은 장르가 확실하다. 장르의 특징을 잘 따르는 작품들이 몰입하기가 더 쉽다.
