I love bookstores, so I visit them often. Online bookstores are trouble-saving, and it's always fun to visit large-scale bookstores. But my favorite bookstore these days is a local mom and pop shop.
The owner of our neighborhood bookstore recently created a book club that anyone can attend online. After we read books, we can hear online lectures by instructors. We can also ask questions and exchange opinions with other readers.
We cover a lot of ground, including themes like history, literature, and social issues. In the past, I only read novels by my favirite authors. But thanks to the book club, I've discovered a whole new world of different books. It has also helped me rediscover the true value of reading. I am deeply grateful to our local bookstore for getting the book club started.
나는 서점을 무척 좋아해서 자주 간다. 온라인 서점은 편리하고, 대형 서점은 방문하는 것만으로 항상 즐겁다. 하지만 요즘 내가 가장 좋아하는 서점은 작은 동네 책방이다.
최근에 우리 동네 책방 주인이 온라인으로 누구나 참여할 수 있는 북클럽을 만들었다. 책을 읽고 나서 온라인으로 강사의 강의를 들을 수 있다. 또한 질문을 하거나 다른 독자들과 의견을 교환할 수도 있다.
역사, 외교, 문학, 사회 문제와 같은 주제를 비롯해서 많은 내용들을 다룬다. 나는 그전에는 내가 좋아하는 작가의 소설만 읽었다. 그러나 북클럽 덕분에 다양한 책의 새로운 세계를 알게 되었다. 게다가 독서의 진정한 가치도 재발견하게 되었다. 이러한 북클럽을 시작해 준 동네 책방에 너무 고마운 생각이 든다.
