Finding the perfect book.
Reading more books is on my to-do list this year. I visit a lot of websites for bookstores and libraries that provide information on books. I do this to find the perfect book for me.
I can think of three ways to discover good reads. First, I don't recommend books whose covers are over the top. Whenever I immersed myself in a book, it had a no-nonsense cover.
Second, it's best to find a book that deals with a topic that I can relare to. A book must reflect the author's viewpoint. So, I try to find topics that I can identify with.
Third, for people who don't read on the regular, I recommend starting out with books on the bestseller lists. More often than not, famous books that are widely enjoyed tend to contain high quality content.
인생 책 찾기.
올해 나의 계획 중의 하나는 책을 더 많이 읽는 것이다. 나는 책에 대한 정보를 제공하는 서점이나 도서관의 홈페이지를 자주 방문한다. 이렇게 하는 이유는 내 "인생" 책을 찾기 위해서다.
내 생각에는 좋은 책을 찾는 방법에는 세 가지가 있는 것 같다. 첫째, 표지가 현란한 책은 추천하지 않는다. 지금까지 내가 몰입해서 읽었던 책들은 표지가 아주 단순했다.
둘째, 내가 공감할 수 있는 주제를 다룬 책을 찾는 것이 좋다. 책에는 작가의 주관이 반열될 수 밖에 없다. 따라서 내가 공감대를 형성할 수 있는 주제를 찾으려고 노력한다.
셋째, 책을 꾸준히 읽지 않는 사람들에게는 베스트셀러에 올라 있는 책들부터 읽어 보는 것을 추천한다. 대체로 널리 사랑받는 유명한 책들은 양질의 내용이 들어 있는 경우가 많다.
