Describe what you do when a child loses a tooth.
Whenever I lost a milk tooth when I was young, I threw it up on the roof. My mom told me that my permanent tooth would grow in more quickly that way. These days, I don't think this is a common practice anymore.
My 8-year-old daughter lost a tooth for the first time. She looked at it, and after a moment's thought, she said she would hide it under her pillow at bedtime. She had read in a storybook that the Tooth Fairy would appear while she is asleep and leave her a coin. When she was fast asleep that night, I sneaked into her room and swithed out her tooth for a coin-shape chocolate.
She was so adorable when she was over the moon upon waking up to find the chocolate. Whenever she loses a tooth these days, I secretly go out to the convenience store. I want to protect her childlike innocence.
아이의 이가 빠질 때 어떻게 하는지 이야기해 주세요.
내가 어렸을 때는 유치가 빠질 때마다 이를 지붕 위로 던졌다. 엄마는 그렇게 하면 영구치가 더 빨리 난다고 말씀하셨다. 요즘은 그렇게 잘 하지 않는 거 같다.
여덟 살인 우리 딸이 처음으로 이가 빠졌다. 아이는 빠진 이를 보고 잠시 생각하더니, 잘 때 베개 밑에 이를 숨기겠다고 했다. 아이가 동화책에서 읽었는데 잠자는 동안 '치아 요정'이 나타나서 동전을 두고 간다는 것이었다. 그날 밤 아이가 깊이 잠들었을 때 나는 아이의 방에 살금살금 들어가서 이를 동전 모양의 초콜릿으로 바꾸어 놓았다.
잠에서 깬 아이가 초콜릿을 발견하고 무척 기뻐하는 모습이 너무 사랑스러웠다. 요즘에도 아이의 이가 빠질 때마다 나는 몰래 편의점으로 간다. 아이의 순수한 마음을 지켜주고 싶어서이다.
