STEP 1

Talk about what people who have a religion do.
종교가 있는 사람들은 어떠한 일을 하는지 이야기해 주세요.

[Response]

Some people follow a religion. Others don't. People who are religious have faith, and they try to follow the teachings of their religion. Christians and Catholics attend church or Cathedral. They study the Bible with fellow churchgoers, and do community service. Buddhists learn about Buddhist teachings at temples, and present offerings to Buddha. An advantage of practicing a religion is that you can maintain good relationships with other people of faith.

종교 생활을 하는 사람도 있고 그렇지 많은 사람도 있다. 종교 생활을 하는 사람은 신앙심을 가지고 그 종교의 가르침을 따르려고 노력한다. 기독교나 천주교 신자들은 교회나 성당에 다닌다. 교인들과 함께 성경 공부도 하고 봉사활동을 같이 하기도 한다. 불교 신자들은 절에 가서 불교의 가르침을 배우고, 부처님께 공양을 하기도 한다. 종교 생활의 장점 중에 하나는 다른 신앙인들과 좋은 유대 관계를 유지할 수 있다는 것이다.

I am a Catholic. I was baptized recently at Myeongdong Cathedral. I chose Veronica as my baptismal name. Each Sunday, I go to church at 10 in the morning to attend mass. During mass, I look back on my life during the past week. I resolve to live an upstanding life. After mass, I attend a gathering to study the Bible. As a person of faith, I will pray more and live as God preached in my day-to-day life. I also hope to go on pilgrimages and visit world-famous cathedrals.

나는 가톨릭 신자다. 최근 명동대성당에서 세례를 받았다. 세례명은 베로니카로 정했다. 매주 일요일 아침 10 시에 미사를 보러 성당에 간다. 미사를 보면서, 한 주간의 내 삶을 되돌아보고, 앞으로 올바르게 살아야겠다고 다짐한다. 미사가 끝나면 성경 공부를 하는 모임에 참석한다. 앞으로 신앙인으로서 기도도 더 열심히 하고, 일상생활에서 하느님의 말씀을 따르며 살 것이다. 또 성지 순례도 다니며, 세계적으로 유명한 성당들도 가 보고 싶다.
